     Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
3/4 C. Butter
1 C. Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 C. Light Molasses
2 1/4 C. Flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
 
1/2 t. cloves
1 C. Ground Raisins

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add 1 beaten egg and molasses. In a seperate bowl, sift together flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, ginger cloves, and ground raisins. Chill dough several hours or overnight. Shape into walnut size balls. Roll in sugar and press down with fork dipped in sugar. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
