1/2 C. BUTTER SOFTENED
1/2 C. CRISCO
1 C. PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1/2 C. SUGAR
1/2 t. BAKING SODA
2 EGGS
2 t. VANILLA
2 1/2 C. FLOUR
8 OUNCES MINI CHOC. CHIPS
 
1 C. CHOPPED NUTS

Instructions
LINE 13X9 PAN WITH FOIL SET ASIDE. BEAT BUTTER AND CRISCO FOR 30 SECONDS. ADD BROWN SUGAR,SUGAR AND BAKING SODA BEAT WELL. ADD EGGS AND VANILLA. BEAT IN AS MUCH FLOUR AS POSSIBLE WITH MIXER THAN ADD REST WITH WOODEN SPOON. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND NUTS. PRESS INTO FOIL LINED PAN.
BAKE 375 FOR 22-25 MIN OR TILL GOLDEN BROWN AND SET IN CENTER. COOL FOR 1 HOUR IN PAN ON A RACK.
REMOVE COOLED COOKIE FROM PAN ON THE FOIL PUT ON A CUTTING BOARD. CUT IN HALF DOWN MIDDLE. THEN CUT SLICES ON AN SLANT.
IN 325 OVEN PUT SLICES CUT SIDE DOWN 1 INCH APART ON UNGREASED SHEET BAKE FOR 6-8 MIN OR TILL EDGES ARE CRISPY. CAREFULLY TRANSFER COOKIES TO WIRE RACK.(COOKIES WILL BE TENDER. COOL

MAY MAKE AS DIRECTED.. COOL COMPLETELY. PLACE IN FREEZER CONTAINER OR PLASTIC BAGS AND FREEZE UP TO 3 MONTHS. THAW 15 MIN BEFORE SERVING.
