     Criss-Cross Shepards Pie

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs of chunk potatoes (3 large)
2 tsp of minced garlic
2 medium onions (chopped)
1 C Water
1 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Lbs of Ground Beef
2 C Frozen Corn
1 Pkg of Onion Soup Mix
1/4 C Cream Cheese
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease casserole dish or cake pan.
Cook potatoes and garlic in boiling water in large pan until potatoes are tender. Brown meat and onions in large skillet drain. Return to skillet. Stir in corn, water and soup mix- Cook for 3 min or until water is absorbed, stirring frequently. Spoon into casserole dish. Drain potatoes return to pan. Add cheese and cream cheese, mash until potatoes are smooth. Spread over meat.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through
I always top it with shredded cheese.
