     Grape Leaves (Warrah Arrish)

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 jar of grape leaves
(fresh can be used - call Liz, Barbara or Dolores for directions!)
FILLING-
1 lb lean ground beef
1 1/2 cups rice
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/4 tsp pepper
4-5 Tblsp lemon juice
small amount of water

Instructions
Wash grape leaves, and cut away spine.
Mix all filling ingredients.
Place small amount of filling in each leaf and roll. Fold in ends if desired. (I do) Layer in bottom of pan, alternating directions with each layer.
Cover with water, and place an inverted ceramic plate on top to compress the rolled leaves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium. Simmer until ALMOST cooked (about 30 minutes). Remove Plate - drizzle 3 Tblsp of lemon juice over rolls. Cover and cook an additional 10-15 minutes.
