     Lamb Stew with Biscuits

Ingredients
About 2 tablespoons salad oil
2 1/2 lbs lamb stew meat
1 large onion chopped
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups carrots
1 1/2 cups celery
3/4 cup to 1 cup sour cream
2 1/2 tsp cornstarch
salt and pepper
 

Instructions
In a frying pan heat oil over medium heat. Add meat and cook stirring until browned. Add onion,and broth; cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add carrots,and celery. cover and simmer until meat is tender 30-45 minutes. Blend sour cream with cornstarch; stir into sstew and cook until hot. Add salt and pepper to taste. Turn stew into a 2 quart casserole, drop rounded tablespoons of biscuit dough all over top Bake at 425 for 20 minutes.
Biscuit dough- 3 cups flour, 11/2 tsp salt and 2 1/2 tsp baking powder. mixed together. with pastry cutter mix in 1/2 cup shortening, stir in 1 cup milk till dough is sticky, you might need to add more milk to get dough to this point
