Preheat oven to 375 degree oven. Cream the butter and sugars in a bowl. Add the egg. Mix thoroughly. Add vanilla. Add the baking soda, salt and flour into the creamed mixture. Using a wooden spoon or rubber scraper, stir in by hand the chocolate chips. Using the cookie scoop, place the cookie dough balls on the ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow cookies to sit on cookie sheet for 1 minute then remove from the cookie sheet and cool on paper towels.
