     Kafta with Peas

Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef or lamb
1 sm onion, minced
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp butter
16 oz frozen peas
1 8 oz can of tomato sauce
1 cup water
 
Cooked rice

Instructions
Mix meat, onion, salt, pepper, cinnamon. Form into 1 inch balls.
Saute in butter. Add the frozen peas, tomato sauce and water. Bring to a boil, lower heat and continue cooking until peas are tender.
Serve over rice.
Barbara said- Dolores reminded me of this recipe. I never knew it had an arabic name! This is one your grandchildren will love. I used to make it then put it in the blender for the babies. BEATS GERBER EVERYTIME!
