     Rum Balls

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups toasted pecans, finely chopped
1 1/4 cups finely crushed vanilla wafers or shortbread
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1/4 cup rum
 

Instructions
Toast nuts in oven at 350 about 8 minutes until lightly browned and fragrant. Let cool and chop finely in food processor. Transfer to large bowl.
Grind up wafers in food processor. Add to pecans. Add sugar, cocoa powder and stir. Add corn syrup and rum and mix well. Chill.
Shape into balls roll in sifted powdered sugar. Store in fridge in airtight container. make several days in advance.
