Heat oven to 350.
Combine shortening, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Mix flour into creamed misture at low speed until just blended. Stir in mint chips.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
