Put small to medium cucumbers in crock and pour boiling
water over pickles let stand for 6 days. 7th day cut pickles,
sprinkle alumn and salt to taste, pour boiling water over
pickles. 8th day, drain and pack in jars. Put spices in cloth and
pour over pickles. 9th day, pack pickles in jars and boil syrup
ingredients and pour over pickles, then seal jars.
