     French Onion Soup

Ingredients
1/4 C (1/2 Stick) Butter
6 Onions (about 3 pounds), sliced
6 Garlic Cloves, slices
1/2 C Dry White Wine
3 C Chicken Broth
3C Beef Broth
1t Dijon Mustard
1/2 t Salt
1/2 t Pepper
 
1/4 t Dried Tyme

Instructions
Melt butter in heavy large sauce pan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and sauté until very tender and brown, about 45 minutes. Add wine and simmer until reduced to glaze, about 3 minutes.
Add remainder of ingredients to slow cooker along with onion mixture. Set slow cooker to medium and cook for 3 to 4 hours.
