8 medium apples - mix of Gala, Mac, Fuji
|

1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
|
|
1/2 Tsp Nutmeg
|

1 Tbl Lemon juice
|
|
1 Tbl butter
|
|
3 Tbl Apple cider
|
|
6 Tbl Red Hot candies

Instructions |
|
|
Peel and cut apples into large chunks adding the Lemon juice along the way to keep from browning.
|

|
Add all the ingredients to a crock pot and stir.
|
|
|
Set on low for 7 hours or high for 4, stirring occasionally.
|
|
|
Mash lightly for chunkier sauce. Put in clean hot bottles and water bath for 20 minutes or store in fridge for a week.
