     Creole Shrimp

Ingredients
4 lb raw shrimp, cleaned
1 med onion, sliced
1 green pepepr, sliced
1/3 c oil
1/2 c water
two 27 oz cans tomatoes
Sweet and Spicy Salsa
1/8 t garlic powder
1 bay leaf
 
2 t salt
2 t sugar
4 t chili powder
2 phg frozen peas, thawed

Instructions
Boil shrimp in salted water to cover and simmer, covered, 5 minuteus; drain. Saute onions and pepper in oil in a dutch oven until tender. Add tomatoes, salsa, water, garlic, bay leaf, salt, sugar, chili powder and peas and simmer 30 minute. Add shrimp. Serve over rice.
