Fresh green beans (a few large handfuls), washed and ends trimmed
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup panko
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
Oil for frying
For the Wasabi Ranch-
1 cup prepared Ranch dressing
1/2 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded, and chopped
2 Tbs. milk
4 Tsp. prepared horseradish
2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
Instructions
For the Green Beans
Preheat a large skillet with 1/2 an inch of oil in the bottom over
medium heat, until it reaches 350 degrees.
Mix the egg and milk in a shallow bowl and set aside. Pour panko
in another shallow bowl. In a third bowl, combine flour and all
spices and mix well.
Dip green beans in the flour mixture and shake off excess flour.
Dip floured green beans in the egg/milk mixture. Finally, coat each
green bean in panko crumbs.
Place prepared green beans into the skillet and fry until golden
brown before flipping and frying on the other side.
Remove fried green beans to a paper towel-lined plate and allow
to drain slightly.
Serve hot with Wasabi Ranch.
For the Wasabi Ranch
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and process
until smooth. Place in a bowl and chill until ready to serve.
