1 cup Hoover's White Meal (fine) sifted - not self rising
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1 small can Evaporated Milk
1 can Water (use milk can)-may add a little more water
Oil
Instructions
Mis all above together. In black frying pan, get 1 cup oil hot - Dip tsp. in water and then in corn meal mixture. Let it fall off your teaspoon into the oil. It will cook fast.
May have to add a little more water - at first, it will be a little runny but when it rises, it will become thicker.
