     Barley Soup

Ingredients
1/2 cup barley
6 1/2 cups of vegetable or chicken stock
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cups dry sherry
3 or 4 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 onion chopped
1 1/2 lbs mushrooms
Pepper
 

Instructions
Cook 1/2 cup of barley in 1 1/2 cups of stock and 1/4 tsp salt.
Saute onion and musrooms with garlic. pepper to taste. Add sauted vegetables, 5 cups of stock, dry sherry and soy sauce to barley. Let cook for one hour.
