     Onion Soup

Ingredients
1 1/ lbs onion
4 tbsp butter
1tbsp salid oil
1 tsp flour
2 qts beef bullion
1/2 cup dry white wine or vernmoth
French bread
Swiss cheese
 

Instructions
Peel and cut onion. Melt butter in large sauce pan. Add onion and saute for 15 minutes over low heat. Sprinkle salt and sugar over onions, raise heat to medium and cook for another 30 minutes until onions are tender and brown. Sprinkle flour over onions and cook for 2 minutes.
Stir in beef bullion and wine. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve heat with toasted frech bread and melted cheese on top.
