     Penne with Broccoli Rabe

Ingredients
1 lb broccoli rabe
1 lb penne
3 tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup kalamata olives
4 large cloves garlic
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
Paresan cheese
 

Instructions
Cut broccoli rabe into 2 inch pieces and blanch in boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove with aq slotted spoon & drain. Save 1/4 cup of the water. Bring the water to a boil again, add pasta & cook for 8 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat Add garlic, olives& crushed red peppersStir and cook until garlic is tender, about 2 -3 minutes. Add broccoli rabe & reserved water. Cook 3 to 5 minutes until broccoli rabe is tender. Drain pasta add broccoli rabe sprinkle with parmesan cheese
