     French Onion Soup

Ingredients
stick of butter
6-8 yellow onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
2 bay leaves
pepper
1 cup red wine
3 heaping tbsp flour
2 qts beef broth
 

Instructions
Melt butter, add onion, cook 10 minutes. Add chopped garlic, bay leaf, pepper, Cook until carmelized (25 minutes on low) Add red wine and simmer 5 minutes. Take out bay leaf.
Add flour stir frequently 8-10 minutes. Add beef broth, simmer 15-20 minutes.
Top with bread cubes and swiss cheese, broil.
