     Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
2 tbs butter
1/2 onion, minced
2 tbs flour
3 cups milk
2 cups cheddar
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound elbow macaroni or shells
1/4 cup jalapenos
1/2 cup panko
 
1/4 cup parmesan

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Melt the butter over medium heat...... Add the onion and cook about 3 minutes..... Add flour and stir into the butter..... Pour in the milk a few tbs at a time, using a whisk to incorporate the flour..... Allow to simmer for 10 minutes then stir in the cheese and season with salt and pepper
3. Cook pasta according to the package until al dente and drain, return to pot..... Add the cheese, and jalapenos
4. Pour into dish and top with bread crumbs and sprinkle parmesan..... Bake for 10 minutes then broil for another 3 minutes
