sage,thyme,paprika salt and pepper,handful of fresh parsley
500 grams split peas
8-10 cups of water
Instructions
fry onions, leeks and carrots till caramelized and
then add all herbs and spices and fry for a bit. Add
water and split peas. Bring to a boil. Lower heat
and cook till tender. Remove a few carrot slices for decoration.
Blenderize.
A hearty soup, excellent for the winter or when you
have a cold.
Serving
Suggestions
serve with a few carrots slices on top and a sprig of parsley or rosemary or other herb. Great with hearty whole wheat toast.
