     Maple sausage and waffle casserole

Ingredients
16 oz. maple breakfast sausage
8 frozen ego home style waffles
1 c. Shredded cheddar cheese
6 large eggs
1 1/4 c milk
1/4 maple syrup
Salt
Pepper
 

Instructions
Cook sausage in a skillet over med. heat, crumble and drain. Grease 8 inch pan and add half of the cubed waffles in a single layer. Top with half sausage and 1/2 c. Cheese. Layer one more layer. Whisk eggs, milk, syrup, salt and pepper . Pour over casserole. Cover and put in ref. over at least 1 hour or overnight. Bake 325 for 45-50 mins.

This recipe was in the paper, May of 2012. Sounded good.
