Preheat oven to 375°F. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk, and
vanilla to butter mixture. In a separate bowl combine baking powder and flour. Gradually
add flour mixture to butter mixture until a dough forms. Using a floured surface, roll
dough until 1/4 inch thick. Dip cookie cutters in flour and press shapes. Add sprinkles to
cookies if desired.
Using a floured spatula transfer shapes to greased cookie sheet. Make sure there is 2
inches between cookies.
Cook 8 minutes.
Place warm cookies on cooling rack.
