     Orange Glazed Carrots

Ingredients
1 lb. carrots, peeled and sliced or 1 lb baby carrots (WIC foods)
1/4 cup orange juice(WIC food)
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of butter or heart healthy margarine
 

Instructions
Place carrots in a vegetable steamer over boiling water (can cook in just boiling water). Cover and steam 3 to 5 minutes or until carrots are tender. Remove steamer from water and pour off water. Add the steamed carrots back to the pan. Pour the orange juice over the carrots and stir in the brown sugar and butter. Heat on low heat while stirring until the butter and sugar melt.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with grilled pork chops, brown rice (WIC food) and fruit salad (WIC foods).
