Preheat oven to moderate. Grease and line tin.

Beat eggs in small bowl with electric mixer until thick and creamy (this will take about 8 minutes).

Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating after each addition, until sugar dissolves then transfer mixture to large bowl.
|
|
|
Sift dry ingredients together three times then sift evenly over egg mixture, folding in gently. Spread into prepared pans. Bake in moderate oven until cake is cooked. Turn immediately onto wire rack to cool.
