Fill mini muffin pan with liners. Separate each cookie and scrape the center peanut butter cream into a bowl. Place the outer cookie into another bowl. Mix outer cookies in a food processor until crumbs. Slowly pour melted butter into processor until blended. Place 1 t mixture into each liner and gently mold into bottom of liner. Bake at 350 degrees 10 min. Remove from oven and set aside. While crust is baking, prepare filling. Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and butter to teh peanut butter cream filling scraped from the cookies. Using a hand mixer, beat until well blended and smooth. Place 1/2 t filling onto crust. Melt shortening and chocolate morsels in microwave until softened. Stir with spoon and pour 1 T over filling. freeze treats 1 hour. Serve frozen or thawed.
