     BEEF STROGANOFF

Ingredients
2 1/2 lbs flank steak (cut into bite size pieces)
1/4 cup salad oil
1 Tblsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup dry red wine
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups slice mushrooms
1/4 cup tomato paste
3 Tblsp flour
 
1 can (10 1/2 oz) beef consomme'
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp accent (optional)
1/2 cup sour cream
Hot buttered wide noodles

Instructions
Brown meat quickly in oil. Transfer to a 9x13 pan. Add salt, pepper and wine. Toss. In the drippings in the frying pan, saute onions until golden brown, add mushrooms, tomato paste, flour and consomme along with bay leaf, garlic and accent. Mix well, pour over meat. Cover and bake 350 for 1 hour. Remove caserole from oven and slowly stir in sour cream Serve with hot buttered noodles.
