     Brandied Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients
4 lg. sweet potatoes or yams
2 t. cinnamon
sugar
pecan halves and cherries
2 eggs
1/4 c. cream
approx. 1/4 t. nutmeg
4 T. brandy or rum
Topping-
 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
1 t. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped pecans
(Blend together ans sprinkle over casserole)

Instructions
Boil spuds until soft. Peel, put in mixing bowl and beat w/electric mixer. Add eggs, cream, spices and sugar to taste. Beat until light. Stir in liquor. Taste. Add more liquor if necessary! Pour into a casserole dish and cover with the topping. Bake in moderate oven at 350 until topping has browned slightly.
