     Key Lime Pie

Ingredients
3 egg yolks
1 (14oz) can Eagle Brand milk
1/2 key lime juice or regular lemon juice
1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
1-1/2 t. grated lime rind
1 baked 9-inch pastry shell or 1 9oz graham cracker crust, extra serving size
Meringue
Meringue-
 
3 egg whites
1/4 t. cream of tartat
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla extract

Instructions
Beat first 5 ingredients in a bowl at medium speed with electric mixer one minute or until well blended. Spoon into desired crust. Prepare neringue- spread it over filling sealing edge of pastry. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes or until golden. Cool completely on a wire rack. Chill 2 hours before serving.
Meringue- Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in a bowl at medium speed with electric mixer until soft tips form. Gradually add sugar, 1 T. at a time, beating at high speed until stiff peaks form and sugar dissolves. Add vanilla. Spread over filling and bake by directions above.
