Blend together the first 6 ingredients in one
bowl. This is the topping. For the coffee cake,
mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon and
cut in shortening. Add eggs, sugar, and m ilk.
Stir until smooth, then beat for 1/2 minute.
Spread in pan. Sprinkle topping over batter.
Bake about 20-25 minutes.
