Fluff the raisins by soaking in the fruit juice while
you gather the other ingredients. Add brown sugar
(or date sugar) to the fruit juice mix. In another
bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Stir in oats
til mixed evenly. Mix well, then add chips to the
mix. Make cakes by hand and form to thickness
desired (about 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick). Place on lightly
greased cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake for 15-20
minutes at 375 degrees or until lightly browned.
Serve warm, store in the fridge. GREAT cold for
snacks or breakfast, too.
