2-1/2 cups coarsely crushed Corn Flakes
|

l/2 cup melted butter
|
|
4-l/2 cups shredded cabbage
|

l/3 cup chopped onion
|

2 stalks celery, chopped
|

l/2 tsp. salt
|
|
l/4 tsp. pepper
|
|
1 can cream of celery soup
|
|
1 cup milk
|
|
|

l/2 cup mayonnaise
|
|
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
|

Instructions |

|
Toss cornflakes and butter, sprinkle half in greased 9x13 glass dish.
|

|
Layer dish with cabbage, onion, celery, salt and pepper. Combine soup, milk, and mayo until smooth.
|
|
|
Spoon the soup milk and mayo mixture over top of cabbage, sprinkle with cheese and remaining corn flakes mixture.
|
|
|
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until golden. Can also add chopped water chestnuts if you desire.
