Ingredients
Filling
2 sheets of short crust pastry
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed down
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cored, peeled thinly sliced apples
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Crumb topping
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup of caster sugar
 
1/3 cup of margerine
1/2 cup chopped nuts (if desired)

Instructions
turn on the oven on 180c and line tray with baking paper.
Prepare the crumb topping by placeing flour and sugar into a bowl and rubbing in or useing the ballon whisk. Blend in the margirine to resemble breadcrumbs. Add the nuts at the end of the process.
Set the crumb mixtue aside while preparing the mix. Core, peel, then cut the apples in half then quarterly and finally in thin slices.In a bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and the sliced apples then toss to combine.
Place the pastry on the baking paper. Spoon the apple mixture in the middle of the pastry leaveing 5cm from the edge.Sprinkle crumbs over apples.
