Ingredients
½ c. old bay seasoning
2 tbsp. salt
4 qts. (4 litre) water
1 can beer
8 medium potatoes (wedges)
2 large onions (wedges)
2 lbs smoked sausage (2 inch pieces)
8 ears corn
4 lbs. large shrimp
8 quart pot – boil spices, salt, water and beer
Add potatoes and onions – 8 minutes
Add sausage – 5 minutes
Add corn – 7 minutes
Add shrimp – 4 minutes
Drain and pour into a bowl or pails
For Old Bay Seasoning (makes ¼ cup)-
1 tbsp celery seed
1 tbsp whole black pepper corn
6 bay leaves
1 tsp sweet Hungarian paprika
½ tsp whole cardamom pod
¼ tsp mace
½ tsp mustard seeds
Grand and store.
4 whole cloves
