Cream together sugars, butter and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla, soda and salt. Add flour mix. Add nuts and stir. Form into a ball and roll into a long thin roll. Slice cookies. Can store cookie rolls in wax paper and refrigerator until ready to use. Bake 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
