     Chicken & Dumplings

Ingredients
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken
1/2 bag carrots
1 lg. onion
6 celery
6 medium potatoes
1 tsp oil
3 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can of biscuits or 3 cups bisquick mix
OR
 
Substitute fresh vegatables for canned
carrots, corn, green beans and peas
1 onion for dried onion
3 cans of cream of chicken for 1 large family size can.

Instructions
Equipment Dutch oven, Spoon for Stirring & Serving, Knife Instructions Cut up Chicken, Carrots, Onions, and Celery. Place Dutch Oven on coals, add oil then Chicken. Cook until slightly browned. Add Onion, Celery, Carrots and Potatoes and cup of water. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add 3 cans of Cream of Chicken Soup and water to the consistency of gravy. Cover and simmer an additional 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add biscuits to top of mixture, cook covered 20 - 25 minutes. Bisquick dropped by spoonfuls can be used in place of biscuits. Comment feeds about 10 people
I suggest separating or dividing soup mix and vegetables into two Dutch ovens and doubling the bisquick mix topping, making a whole top for each Dutch oven and instead of dropping the dough, spread it into one whole top evenly.
