Form ground beef into patties.
Salt & pepper both sides.
Melt butter in skillet, fry patties. Remove and set aside.
Drain off all but 2 Tbsps. of left over grease.
Throw in chopped onions and sauté for ~3 minutes.
Stir in whiskey. Allow to reduce by half.
Stir in BBQ sauce and Jalapenos if desired.
Reduce heat to low and place cooked patties into sauce, turning to coat.
Allow patties to simmer in sauce.
Place patties on buns, spooning on extra sauce.
Add cheese if desired.
