     Oriental Cole Slaw

Ingredients
1 pkg instant oriental flavored ramen noodles
1 pkg shredded cabbage or cole slaw mix
4 green onions, sliced
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted (2.25 oz pkg)
2 Tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 Tbsp white vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
salt and pepper to taste
 

Instructions
Rinse cabbage and drain well. Toast almond slivers and sesame seeds. Cut green onion. Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, and packet of flavoring found in ramen noodles pkg. in a glass jar. Put cabbage/cole slaw in a container. Add green onion, almonds, sesame seeds and ramen noodles. Be sure to crumble up the noodles in a plastic bag and then add to salad. Pour oil mixture over all. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix all well. Serve immediately.
The salad can be made early but do in separate steps. 1. Rinse slaw and cut up green onions. Put both in airtight container and refridgerate. Toast almonds and sesame seeds. Crumble ramon noodles. Store all three in airtight container. Mix oil and seasonings in a jar. When ready to eat mix all together and toss well.
Serving Suggestions
Goes well with summertime meals such as grilled hamburgers, chicken or any meat of choice.
