Mix all ingredients together and add cold water a little at a time. You need to add the water to make soft dough but firm enough to be able to shape into long dumplings (like you’re rolling play dough). Knead the dough lightly. Divide the dough into about 6 equal portions and roll each porting into 6 x 2 inch lengths. Make the middle of the dough of each portion slightly flat so that it will cook evenly.
Heat oil.
Fry in deep oil (about 1 inch deep) until golden brown, turning as needed to ensure brown and cooked on all sides.
Once brown, remove from heat and drain and dry on paper towel.
Serve hot.
