     Oven Stew

Ingredients
4 Lb. beef round steak cut into 1 inch cubes
4 C. Sliced carrots
2 C. Sliced celery
4 medium onions sliced
1 can(10oz.) water chestnuts sliced and drained
1 can(12 oz.) mushrooms sliced and drained
1/2 C. Plus 2 T. Flour
2 T. Sugar
2 t. Salt
 
1can(32 oz.) tomatoes
2 C. Dry red wine

Instructions
Heat oven to 325 degrees. In a roasting pan mix meat, carrots, celery, onions, water chestnuts and mushrooms Mix flour, sugar and salt and stir into meat mixture. Stir in tomatoes and wine. Cover and cook for 4 hours or until meat is tender
