     Sweet and Sour Cole Slaw with Apples

Ingredients
1/3 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Tsp Salt
1/3 Cup Cider Vinegar
3 Tbsp Oil
2 Lbs Shredded Cabbage, Bagged
2 Large Carrots or Small Bag, Shredded
2 Red Apples, Cored, and Thin Sliced
1/2 Cup Golden Raisins
1/2 Cup Unsalted Peanuts
 

Instructions
Whisk sugar, salt, vinegar and oil in a serving bowl to blend. Add cabbage and carrots; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, or overnight, for flavors to blend. To serve, add apples, raisins and peanuts; toss to mix.
Serving Suggestions
Can be prepared up to 1 day ahead. Refrigerate covered.
