Brown meat in hot oil. Add water, seasonings, tomatoes and sauce.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 hr. Add carrots, potatoes,
and butter beans- cook another hour. Add barley and cook
according to package directions. Don't freeze.
