     Macaroni and Cheese with Sausage Topping

Ingredients
10 cups hot cooked elbow noodles
3 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/3 cup all purpose flour
4 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
dash ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
 
1 pound cooked and crumbled sausage
2 cups bread crumbs
1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions
Preheat to 350. Spray a 13x9 inch pan
Place macaroni in a bowl.
Melt butter in saucepan. add garlic and cook about 2 mins. Gradually stir in flour, stir constantly, until golden. Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly, until smooth aand melted. Stir in salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add cheese, until melted. Remove from heat, pour over noodles, spoon into pan.
Combine sausage and bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle over noodles. Bake 15 minutes.
