Stir together first 5 ingredients in large pot over medium-high heat, bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.

Place biscuits on lightly floured surface. Roll or pat each biscuit into 1/8 inch thickness; cut into 1/2 inch wide strips.
(I buy a roll of 8 biscuits and use 6 in the recipe)

Return broth to a low boil. Drop strips, one at a time into boiling broth. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent dumplings from sticking. Use spoons to push dumplings down into the broth.
