2 slices of Panera bread, sliced thin (or sourdough)
(1) jalapeno, (either pickled or fresh)
2 slices of bacon
1 tbsp apricot preserves
1 tbsp butter
2 oz cream cheese
basil? See bottom.
Instructions
It's easier to use already prepped jalapeno's.
However, if you choose to use fresh jalapenos, you
can set your oven to broil and cook them until the
skins blacken and blister. Remove jalapenos from
oven and transfer immediately into plastic baggie.
Seal and let steam until cool enough to handle,
about 10-20 min. Remove blackened skins.
Spread one of the slices of bread with cream cheese.
Top with jalapeno peppers, then bacon.
Spread the other piece of bread with the apricot
preserves, and put on top of the other piece.
Butter each side of the sandwich, and toast over
medium heat until bread is toasted (about 3-4 min
per side)
Tip - Don't spread too much of anything on this sammie!

Suggestions
