Ingredients
1 package (about 18 oz) vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare mix
2/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips, melted
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup prepared vanilla frosting
1 cup prepared chocolate frosting
 

Instructions
1) Preheat oven to 350F. Line 24 standard (2 1/2-inch) muffin cups with paper baking cups. 2) Prepare cake mix as directed. Transfer 1/2 of batter (about 2 1/2 cups) to medium bowl. Add melted chocolate and cream cheese to remaining batter; beat with electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes, or until well blended.
3) Spoon chocolate and vanilla batters evenly side-by-side into prepared muffin cups. (Use chocolate batter first as it is slightly thicker and easier to position on one side of muffin cups.)
3) Bake 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
5) Spread vanilla frosting over 1/2 of each cupcake; spread chocolate frosting over remaining 1/2 of each cupcake.
