Blend butter & shortening till smooth. Blend in
sugars and vanilla. Add egg - keep consistency
smooth
In small bowl, blend baking soda, salt and flour.
Add to sugar mixture. Add chocolate chips & nuts.
Drop by tablespoon on cookie sheet. Bake 9 minutes.
Cookie will be slightly brown.
