     Lasagna

Ingredients
(Italian Sauce) 1 large onion , chopped
(Italian Sauce) 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
(Italian Sauce) 1 tsp dried parsley
(Italian Sauce) 1 tsp sugar
(Italian Sauce) 1/8 tsp black pepper
(Italian Sauce) 1 tsp oregano
(Italian Sauce) 2 tsp salt
(Italian Sauce) 1 (12oz) can whole tomatoes chopped
 
1 lb hamburger or ground chuck
1 tsp garlic granulated
1 box lasagna (the kind you don't have to pre-cook)
1 pkg Swiss natural cheese (slices)
1/2 lb cottage cheese
1/2 c Parmesan cheese

Instructions
Brown hamburger in frying pan or iron pot, adding 3 Tbsp salad oil and 1 tsp garlic salt. While hamburger is browning.
- Mix ingredients for Italian Sauce in a large bowl - After hamburger is browned, add Italian sauce and let simmer for 30 minutes. - Spray baking dish with non-stick spray (Pam)
For layering, start with a layer of sauce on the bottom. Next, layer of lasagna, then layer of sauce. Then spread pieces of natural cheese, then with cottage cheese, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Repeat layers until dish is ful. Try to end with sauce to prevent from drying out while baking. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. In last few minutes, sprinkle cheese on top so it will look pretty. ***Freezes well. Tom LewisIf you intend to freeze it, do not put cheese on top until you thaw it out and prepare to reheat it.
Serving Suggestions
This can boil over your pan a bit while baking. Put your lasagna pan on top of a cookie sheet to keep the oven clean.
