Beat egg, add sour cream, sugar, corn starch, vanilla, and salt. Stir until combined. Thinly slice apples into mixture. Stir in cranberries.
Topping- Cut butter into dry ingredients. Stir in nuts.
Spoon apple mixture into crust. Sprinkle topping over filling. Bake at 425 F for 10 minutes. Lower to 350 F and bake for 50 more minutes.
