In large pan melt butter. Stir in flour and heat and stir until smooth. Gradually add milk,
stirring constantly until thickened. Add potatoes and onion. Bring to a boilll, shirring
constantly. Reduce heat. Simmer 10 minutes add remaining ingredients. Stir until chees is
melted. Sever immediately. Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
